Taking Meisner Into Text: An Online Course

Tutor: Kate Maravan

Venue: Online

Date(s): 8, 15, 22 June

Times: 18:00 - 20:00 each day

The Meisner Repetition exercise encourages moment to moment aliveness, connection and presence. When we approach text work we often fall back into ‘acting habits’, allowing the head to be in control and feeling disconnected from the material we are working with.

This three-session online course focuses on how we can find the same level of expression and authenticity whilst working with scripts.  Each student will work with a partner on one scene throughout the course.  You’ll progress from the early stages of scene work into a more detailed, developed and 'directed’ piece of work. The class is limited to 6 participants, so enrol early!
